A woman on Facebook named Pam and her fiance Edward announced that they were going to cancel their wedding this winter... and keep the $30,000 donation money
The couple plans on using the money for a honeymoon in the meantime, until they become financially stable. Once they do, the couple plans on planning another wedding in which guests can continue donating. Not a bad deal, financially, but that would surely anger a few wedding guests. After all, weddings can be pretty expensive.
The bride wrote, 'I'll be updating our gift fund registry on Amazon if anyone would like to gift us something to take on a honeymoon.'
The Facebook post was shared on r/ChoosingBeggars on Reddit and garnered tons of responses.
