Anne Hathaway plans to not drink any alcohol for two decades after filming “Serenity” on the island nation of Mauritius with actor Matthew McConaughey

Hathaway, 36, confessed while appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” said she also made the decision for her 2-year-old son Jonathan.

Anne spent about five weeks on the island filming the thriller which comes out this Friday with co-star McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves, who both had already been on location before she arrived.

After drinking with McConaughey, Hathaway had an appointment to meet with the director of “Serenity,” Steven Knight. She mentioned to Ellen that she, "kind of like stumbling in, one eye open" and confessed to Knight that she was hungover. Knight replies that he "couldn't tell." A few days later, the director was able to point out, "Oooh, now I can."

Turns out, Anne Hathaway called it quits back in October and plans to remain sober for the next 18 years. She doesn't want to drink while her son, Jonathan, is in the house.
