Review: Two lawyers, Martin (Eric Bana) and Claudia (Rebecca Hall), are placed on the same case to defend a man accused of being the mastermind for a London terrorist attack at an outdoor market. What makes this interesting is the fact that Martin and Claudia used to be ex-lovers, which obviously makes it awkward and tense as they are forced to work with each other. Who would ever want to work with someone they used to have an affair with? Other than the sexual tension and resentment toward each other, I was disappointed on how Closed Circuit was categorized as suspenseful thriller film, but didn't follow through with its title. I honestly was only shocked and startled during two times, but those were only due to the abrupt loud noises that occurred during a previous quiet moment. I walked out feeling depressed and hopeless because the plot felt like a lose-lose situation with an anticlimactic reveal.
I give Closed Circuit one thumb down because I found it to be boring and disappointing because nothing special stood out for me about this movie.
