Review: Who’s a fan of the well-known novel, The Hobbit?? Whether you are or not, everyone should go check out the second installment of this film adaptation of the book because it is totally action-packed. In The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and company are on a long and treacherous journey to the mountains to reclaim the dwarves’ homeland from the King Under The Mountains, which is an indestructible dragon named Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch). Whoever cast Cumberbatch as the sinister dragon is a genius because he totally fits the part. This movie is so captivating that people in the audience, including myself, were screaming at the theater screen as if the characters could hear us. The fight sequences are very amusing and well-coordinated that thrills many with new cool moves and camera shots, which are mind-blowing! Visuals are breath-taking, so if you get the chance, definitely watch this movie in 3D. And that's saying a lot because I usually get headaches from that movie format. You can definitely witness it during Orland Bloom’s scenes that show how badass he is, and not to mention…GORGEOUS!!
I give The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug two thumbs up because it’ll leave you wanting more, despite it being almost 3 hours long already.
