So yesterday I had to go get an ultrasound and let me tell you those are NOT fun! I'm sure they would be a lot more fun if I was looking at a baby inside my belly but unfortunately that's not what I was there for. If you listen to the show you know I've been having some health problems having to do with my blood levels. I'm still waiting to hear back on my blood tests for the Von Willenbrand Disease (doctor said 4-6 weeks) but in the meantime she sent me to get an ultrasound to make sure nothing else was wrong.
Men, please be happy that (more than likely) you will never have to get an ultrasound in your life. It is very awkward and if I felt awkward I wonder how the lady doing the ultrasound felt?! And she has to do this all day every day for a living! Geez!
Anyway, my doctor is supposed to be calling me with the results today. The lady at the ultrasound place told me she did see 5-6 small fibroids which I kind of knew I had already anyway. I had a surgery a couple years back to remove fibroids and the likelihood of the fibroids growing back was high so I kind of expected them to grow back. However, since fibroids are benign you can live your entire life with them however they are just sometimes extremely uncomfortable which is why I had them surgically removed in the first place. However, I have decided I'm not going to do that this time around.
I've been looking into some holistic ways of removing them and I'm going to try that for now. I really like what all the girls who have done it this way had to say online so I figure it's worth a try. I downloaded a book online and started to take notes last night. There is just so much it's a bit overwhelming. But for now, I will just take it step by step, one day at a time.
Thanks for caring enough about my life to follow along with all my health stuff. You're support is greatly appreciated :) and I will keep you updated!
