From news personality to jean designer? Former Fox News personality Glenn Beck can officially add designer to his resume. He has created a new brand of jeans. Not just ANY jeans, but 100% American Made Jeans!
The new brand is called 1791 Supply & Co. and is available for both men and women. The idea behind the brand is that the jean is designed and produced solely in America, yes, bringing business back to the good ole U.S.A.!
Glenn began this project over a year ago outraged by a series of Levi’s ads in which he swore off the brand. He didn’t believe in boycotting, instead he deciding to create his own jeans.
According to Glenn “They (jeans) are not made this way anymore. We made them the original way. We made them so they will last forever. We’re not going to stonewash these and beat them all up and tear them. You’re going to have to earn those stripes yourself. They are more expensive than a regular pair of jeans because this is 100% made in America.”
Mr. Beck teamed up with Tim Didonato and Mercury Radio Arts to launch the new brand. Designed for comfort and fit the jeans are Western vintage inspired. The stylish Indian chief button represents a Classic Cut, and the Buffalo button represents a Straight Cut. Depending on the style of jean is what determines which button is on the jean, adding a small flare.
Jeans are not the only item on the 1791 Supply & Co. menu, so are graphic t shirts and hoodies too. Prices range anywhere from $30 for tees to $129.99 for jeans. For more on the new brand and to view the entire collection check out the website at www.1791.com
